Art & Design AD SRL determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data carried out in connection with the activities of Kozo Édition.

2. Personal Data Collected

Kozo Édition collects and processes only the personal data necessary for the conduct of its activities and the provision of its services.

Depending on how you use the website, the following data may in particular be processed:

  • first name and last name;

  • email address;

  • postal address, in particular billing and delivery addresses;

  • information necessary for the management and monitoring of orders for printed books;

  • content of messages and information voluntarily provided through the contact form;

  • data relating to registration for and management of email communications, where applicable;

  • technical data and information relating to the use of the website, including data collected through cookies or similar technologies, in accordance with your cookie preferences.

Kozo Édition does not request the disclosure of special categories of personal data, such as data relating to health, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, trade union membership, racial or ethnic origin, sex life or sexual orientation.

Users are requested not to provide such information in free-text fields or through the contact form unless this is strictly necessary for their request.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases of Processing

Personal data collected by Kozo Édition is used only for the following purposes:

  • responding to requests submitted through the contact form: depending on the nature of the request, the processing is based on Kozo Édition’s legitimate interest in responding to requests addressed to it or on taking pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject;

  • managing orders, payments, deliveries and services relating to orders for printed books: the processing is necessary for the performance of the contract entered into with the customer;

  • preparing and retaining billing documents and complying with applicable accounting and tax obligations: the processing is based on compliance with the legal obligations to which Art & Design AD SRL is subject;

  • sending information, news or promotional communications relating to Kozo Édition’s publishing activities: where consent is required, such communications are sent only to persons who have previously agreed to receive them. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, in particular by using the unsubscribe link contained in the communications;

  • analysing website traffic and usage for statistical purposes, in particular through Google Analytics: this processing is carried out on the basis of the user’s consent where such consent is required. The relevant cookies and audience measurement technologies are activated only after such consent has been obtained.

Kozo Édition does not use the personal data collected for purposes that are incompatible with those described above.

4. Informational and Marketing Communications

Kozo Édition may occasionally send informational or promotional communications relating to its publishing activities, including through the email marketing tool integrated into Wix.

Such communications are sent only where there is a valid legal basis for doing so.

Where the consent of the data subject is required, communications are sent only to persons who have previously agreed to receive them.

In cases permitted by applicable law, Kozo Édition may also send existing customers communications relating to its own products or services that are similar to those previously purchased, provided that the applicable legal requirements are met.

Each recipient may, at any time, unsubscribe from or object to receiving marketing communications, free of charge and in a simple manner:

  • by using the unsubscribe link included in the relevant emails; or

  • by sending a request to: info@kozoedition.be.

Where a person withdraws their consent or objects to the use of their data for direct marketing purposes, Kozo Édition will cease using their data for that purpose.
